Cottonwood Recreation Area

Cottonwood Recreation Area offers nine covered shelters with lots of open space. The area is located below the main lake adjacent the Des Moines River. The recreation area includes several improved restrooms, 10 picnic tables per shelter, 4 electrical outlets, lights, group grill, fireplace, handicap accessible fishing pier, and volleyball uprights with nets. Occupants must provide own personal volleyball.
