Cherry Glen Campground

Cherry Glen Campground is open April through October, located on the east side of the lake, featuring 127 campsites with electric hookup and an abundance of shade trees. Access to two boat ramps makes this campground an easy pick for those looking to boat during their stay.

Amenities include; two boat ramps, courtesy docks, drinking water, dump station at entrance station, flush toilets, showers, playgrounds, telephone (pay), 3 handicap accessible paved campsites, 3 sites with 50 amp service, 8 sites with full time water hookup, access to Neal Smith Bike Trail, picnic shelters nearby available for reservations, family assisted shower and restroom available upon request.

Important Information!

Reservations must be made at least 2 days in advance. Equipment such as boats or extra vehicles are allowed, if there is sufficient room to park them on the campsite. Tents may be placed on the grass adjacent to campsite spurs. Camper must be 18 or over to make reservation and must be present during stay. Park reserves the right to cancel reservations.

Getting There:

From I-35 north of Des Moines: Take exit 90 (Ankeny Industrial Parkway) to Hwy 160 west 2.4 miles which becomes Hwy 415. Take Hwy 415 north 4.1 miles. At the brown campground sign get into left turn lane, take NW 94th Ave for .6 miles to the campground.
