| The
Master Planning Process
The
Corps of Engineers is updating its current master plan for recreation
and natural resources at Lake Red Rock. The current plan guiding
management and development at the lake was competed in 1976 and
is now 35 years old. A new master plan is needed to address current
conditions, meet existing and future public and natural resource
needs etc. Over the next few months the Corps of Engineers and
its partners will be soliciting public input from key stakeholders
and the general public. This master plan web site provides additional
background information and an opportunity to provide public input.
Please take some time to read over the materials on this site
and to respond to our stakeholder questionnaire.
Note
: The master plan does not address
water level management and flood control. A separate regulation
manual, the Des Moines River Master Regulation Manual, is used
to regulate discharge and storage in the reservoir. We are not
accepting comments on water level management as part of the master
planning process. |
