The Corps of Engineers charges recreation user fees for North Overlook Beach and Whitebreast Beach. A fee of $1.00 per person up to $4.00 per vehicle will be charged. There will be no fee for children under 12 years of age at beaches. User fees are also charged at Whitebreast, South Overlook, Howell Station, Wallashuck (during high water), and Marina Cove boat ramps. A fee of $3.00 per boat launch will be charged daily. Fee collection envelopes are available from "Iron Rangers" (metal collection boxes) located at each beach and boat ramp. Simply take an envelope, insert your fee into the envelope, place your receipt with the current date on the rear view mirror, and deposit the envelope into the iron ranger.
