Lake Red Rock has nearly 10,000 acres of deciduous forests, plantations, and old fields. The Corps has planted nearly 1,000,000 seedlings in an effort to reforest portions of the project. The Corps also uses other types of timber stand improvement procedures including chemical and mechanical removal of invading trash species of trees.
